Default I-pilot on my auto pilot

I thought that I read somewhere that you can put the I-pilot on any auto pilot Minn kota trolling motor? I have a bow mounted 24v auto pilot, not sure of the year as I am not the original owner.

If this is the case, I am also looking to purchase a new console mount Hummingbird for my boat. If I get the Lake Link chip, can I hook up everything to make it follow contours and have my system work together?

Default No not true

Newer units have grey plug wires and are round. Older style is flat square in black, you know the plugs laying on your deck. Not sure when the switch over happened maybe 2006? V2 motor can get one installed. You can hard wire them but seems like a lot of work. Far as terrova never owned one but check your plugs.

iPilot only works on PowerDrive V2 and Terrova trolling motors.

I understand that you can install the newer V2 control board with a round plug in the older motors. You can then install the I-Pilot. Of course it adds $100 plus to the cost.
