Default minn kota traxxis help

just bought an 80 traxxis transom mount for back trolling. would like to turn the head 180 degrees so i can back troll. anyone done this? if so what is all invovled? thanks

I've got the same unit. There's a single screw just under the head, pull it out, spin the head, and re-install.

that was quick. this site is great. i know what screw you are talking about, will give it a go. do you find you have better boat control by doing it this way

Bowhunter,
If you do reverse the head, make note as to which way you rotated the motors head.

When you go to reverse it back, you want to rotate the head in the opposite direction, so that you don't end up twisting the wires from the head to the motor.

i.e. if you turn the head clockwise to reverse it, you will want to rotate the head counter clockwise to reverse it back.
