Default Alumacraft Boat Covers

Any one have one?

Price from a dealer is close to $800

I have not seen one yet, anyone have a picture?

From what I understaand they have a short plastic clip that clips into a groove.

Sounds like a neat idea, would replace the snaps.

I want to be able to cover boat while it is docked and when stored or trailering a long distance

Thanks

I can't comment on what/how it is, but I am in the market for the same thing also. My boat won't be on the trailer 24/7 and I'd like to cover it when it's going to spend a couple days on the water.

I would imagine it uses the Alumatrack system?

I have a competitior 185 tiller with this type of cover on it and love it. It fits the boat perfectly. The plastic clips slip over a rail on the outside edge of the gunnel. The cover has openings with Velcro sewn over them for the tie downs if you want to cover boat when it is sitting by the dock. I think that this cover is worth every penny.

They use a J clip style, like Premier does on their pontoon covers.

great idea, price is a bit steep though.

Default boat cover

I have a $150 cover from a big catalog place and works fine.
My boat spends most of the time in a garage and cover keeps the
dust, dog hair, etc out .

I've got an Alumacraft cover being put on next week. I looked at one on a boat in the shop when I went in to look at mine being rigged, it's a slick setup. I've got a 185 Competitor tiller, I got mine at the same dealer as the boat, $600.00.

We have a Crestliner Super Hawk 1900 and it has a cover with the J hooks and we love it. Very easy to put on and take off. Has three adjustable poles to hold it up from the inside and tows very well. We don't leave our boat in the water so I can't tell you if it's easy to put on while on the water but we do put it on at night after we pull the boat and take it off the next morning when getting ready to go fishing. It works like a charm.

I too have a 185 Competitor and I have the custom Alumacraft Cover. I love this cover. I have had other custom covers from canvas makers and this one is really good. I love the plastic j clips, better than snaps, and it is just a well made and well fitting cover.

Worth it.
