It was a fuse. Only place I could find that particular fuse was at the dealership tho!

If you are going to rewire a trailer, it is a really great idea to use tinned wire for all of the wiring in the trailer.

Tinned wire does not corrode with Black wire corrosion that is very common for the ground wires on wiring that is used outdoors in a wet environment.

Also, it is a good idea to run a ground wire to every light and not to rely on the frame of the trailer for grounding.


On most outboard motors, all of the internal outboard motor wiring is generally done with tinned wire to avoid the corrosion problem.

When I rewired my landscaping trailer, I found that the manufacturer had installed a full ground wire system using a tinned wire. This was the only wire in the trailer wiring that was all right. All of the other wires had some to a lot of black wire corrosion on them.
