Archery elk and archery turkey.. my favorite "non shotgun" hunting.
With elk, you only get one shot... with turkey.. better bring a full quiver ;-)

Poudre Canyon... Pingree Park.
About 9500 feet up.... one hot bull... heard two.. left one ;-)

Way to go Scott! Nice Bull. I got a Bull too. but it was already dead from last years rifle season I would guess. nice 6 X 7. but still trying for the real thing.

Nice bull Scott. My buddy and I were into the elk pretty good ourselves. I almost had a shot at a big 5X5. Everything was going perfect with the bull standing broadside at 30 yards until the arrow came off the nock at full draw about a half a second before I hit the release. %#@!*&% Needless to say, the bull was not impressed. All in all it was a great time. We were up in Red Feathers area so we're not to far from where you were (as the crow flies).

There's always next year!
