Lakemaster Question

I got a new (to me) boat this winter with a humminbird 998c SI. I found a deal for a used Lakemaster Pro Map version 4 for LOW/Rainy on Craigslist.

The seller had this in an older Lowrance unit. He claims that the chip is from prior to Lakemaster being sold to Johnson Outdoors in 2011 and it will work in both Lowrance and Humminbird.

I'm not going to buy it if there's any chance of it not working. I attached a pic of the chip.

I sent humminbird an email but was wondering if anyone here has any insight?

Older LakeMaster cards that were compatible with competitor fish finders WILL NOT work with Humminbird products.

Check ebay Dubbs, new lakemaster chips are going for a pretty good price! Just buy from a USA seller with good feedback or a boating/marine shop selling through ebay.
