Default Lund bimini top

I have a Lund 2100 Baron with the original Bimini cover that snaps to the windshield. I am wanting to get the top modified so it is much taller so I don't have to belly crawl to get to the front of the boat. I have looked on-line but all I can find are the free standing ones. I have talked to a few people who custom make them and they are making it sound like I want the impossible. They say they can sew the addition on but I will have to come up with the frame. Since it is an older boat , the Lund dealers are not able to help me. I just got back from the LOW and it seemed everybody had the taller cover but me. So I know they are out there. I have a hard time thinking they are all custom covers.
Does anyone out there know who can fix me up?

Thanks in advance.

Anything can be done. Impossible costs more, of course.
But... how well will it work ..is the question...?

Something has to hold the top up.

A "Bimini" top is a free standing top. That is what a "Bimini" top does.

What you have is a standard suntop or "convertible" top.

Now.....a good canvas place can make you a taller convertible top...

But, it opens a can of worms as to where does it go when not in the UP position (like ..how is it going to it stow?)...plus if you now have side and rear curtains..... they won't match up to this new, taller, top.
And...so on.
