Default Detroit River - wind, shallows, and fish

Fished Saturday for the first time this year. Picked up some small males (ewwww, what's all that white stuff?). Almost the worst wind I've ever had to contend with. No significant gusts, just a constant 25 or 30 knots. Launched at Lake Erie Metro Park. I have an 18' fiberglass boat with I/O. I had to have the stern drive up as high as possible and I was GROUNDED momentarily in the "channel" leading away from the docks. Water was around 2 feet deep for a quarter mile or more. But hey, ANY kind of fishing is better than another day in the garage going through my already over-organized tackle.

Tight lines. Seeya on the river.
(Radio handle - "Reality Check").
