A quick consult of The Google: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/produ...ref=prd2053991

Not that you DIY guys won't have fun making them for MUCH less money.

I do subscribe to the theory that anything you can do which is different may result in good results (perhaps for a short time), just because the fish haven't seen it before. My WAG is that it probably won't make enough difference to be able to prove that coating improves the number of bites. As a matter of interest, I do have some trebles on some of my home made spoons which I painted white, some time ago, just haven't tried them yet. The painting was a case of over spray, did a sloppy paint job, not due to an "aha moment'". It's all fun to try different ideas, please let us know the results of coating and how any conclusions made were deducted.

If you are looking for something different, have you tried feathered treble hooks? I've ordered a few off of Ebay and they are pretty good hooks that hold up well.

BTW the fish do not know if they are VMC, Gamakatsu or ??

Those are only in size 8, 10 which are really small made for smaller jigging spoons. Good find though and same thought as I was trying to get at. Nobody make 4, 2, 1 painted trebles for cranks

I have made and used a number of feathered hooks, but normally use just a single hook, usually with a spinner, ala Mepps or similar. One of my best personally made baits for small mouth has been a certain feathered single hook spinner, also it has taken my best muskie, to date, 48". I have not put any feathers on a crank bait, several Rapalas came out with them a few years ago, they have been put on various baits for a very long time.

I didn't grab any trebles today to try cause leaving for a Walleye tourney in a few days and painting jigs and bait hooks was more important. Today I painted up a few double wide bait octopus hooks and some Slow death hooks that I would use for leaches or minnows not painting for actual slow death. https://images.platforum.cloud/uploa...c2605d5147.jpghttps://images.platforum.cloud/uploa...d1ffc8aed8.jpg
