Default Green Bay report

Fishing on Green Bay is good, with most walleyes moving into their post spawn rituals. Depending on location, walleyes can be found as shallow as 2-4 ft or, in the case of Door County waters, as deep as 35 ft. The night trolling bite on the East side has been good, with plenty of post spawn females in the 22-31" range hitting the nets. Best presentations have been long-line trolling stickbaits. Casting jig/ringworms, Rippin Raps, and hairjigs have been good for deep fish during daylight hours. On the west side, I've done well trolling shad baits, pitching ringworms, or casting Rippin Raps in 4-10ft. At the lower end of the bay, fish are beginning to move out of the Fox River and into mud flats, small rock points, along steep breaklines of the shipping channel, and shallow sand. Cranks are currently the best presentation, but with water temperatures approaching 55-60 degrees spinner/crawler rig trolling will soon come into play. Good luck and enjoy the spring weather!!
