Default GPS Invisible Fence

Im looking at installing an invisible fence. I have about 3-4 acres so Im looking at the "GPS" Invisible fence ?

Can anyone comment on how the GPS fence performs?

And better yet, how much does it cost?

Thanks

I am curious to read how this one turns out. I saw something one time where you could track your dog through a GPS system, but I think it required a subscription and a monthly fee of $7-$9 (can'be sure though as it was a few years ago). Would love to have something like that as one of my dogs LOVES to roam when the collar is off.

What system are you looking at?

Training you dog is all important. I've know a couple of people who put those fences in, and they worked for a bit. Until their dog saw something they did not like, and in a rage ran so fast and hard, they went right over the invisible fence.

I've had a wireless fence for several years. works like a champ. have yet to have the dogs run through it. they respect that beep to the max. In fact, when I take my lab hunting if I beep her with the shock collar she either sits or comes right back. they are very quick to figure it out.

This is the system that I am looking at....

However, I have yet to meet or talk to anyone that has this system to figure out how much it cost without setting up an appointment with the company.

I have read that they claim dogs will not/can hot run through the fence.

The hidden fence link states that 1/2 acre yard are ~ $ 1300. My yard is 3-4 acres, so the hidden fence is not an option.

Thanks for sharing the link Erin. Too bad it doesn't work with trees on the property perimeter, which is all of the Northwoods of Wisconsin and Minn.
