Default 2010 ranger 621

Hi i got a ranger 2010 621 with a 250 evinrude on it. and unfortunately the motor was messed up right from the start. but evinrude agreed to replace it for me.
On a flat morning i found myself always trying to push that throttle down for a few more mph! an idea what the top speed would be with a 300? i topped out around 54 fully loaded with the 250.
Also since this would be the right time. which size jackplate? 6, 8, or 10? and will this void the warranty of the boat?

Default speed

With a 300 v-rod and a 21 pitch revo four blade, on calm water im getting 53-55 in about 1-2 foot waves im getting up to 61 and anything over it'll push it about 55 if you want to go that fast. Thats with out a jackplate I'm going to guess you would be looking at an increase of 6-8mph with a 6inch jackplate. The boat is made for the rough stuff didn't take long to find that out .

I dont think u would get 6-8mph out of a jackplate. I know for a fact a 620 gets about 4-5 out of a 8" jackplate. The 620 is alot faster hull than the 621. The 621 is a big water boat and the 620 is a high perforance hull. I know a 8" is the biggest ranger will allow on a 620. The only person I know running a jackplate on new 621 is Pat neu and his is a 6" with a 250 pro xs. U should be 55-57 with the 250 ho 2 guys and full of gas.
