I'm a Lund guy so my opinion is biased. I really do like the features of the impact, quite similar to the Pro V, but trimmed down without some of the bells and whistles. That being said, the Raptor's layout shares similarities with the Impact. Just a guess that the Raptor's price tag might be a little less? For me, a reputable dealer and proximity to where I live would be a major deciding factor. Good Luck with the decision! Boat shopping is always a blast!

I second the previous comment about a dealer that you can trust and is close by. But because I owned two Lunds (2002 1675 Pro Sport) and my newer 2012 1775 Impact, I would recommend the Lund. Rod storage is more than adequate for most fishing tournaments, lots of location for electronic Ram Mounts, seats have improved a lot, spacious live wells, and you can decide between one or two consoles with a full windshield or not. Mine has two separate consoles with two separate removeable windshields - not the best choice for keeping the water out of your face, but I'm an x-miltary man and combat rule number one is, "Always look cool". Variety is the spice of life. Buy what you're going to love to use.

It would be nice if you could water test both boats? I have heard the Crestliner is a wet boat??? Not sure about that I guess? Also look at what your getting on the deal to compare apples to apples? What motor are you looking at putting on?

Your comparing apples too oranges. The impact and the crestlineer fish hawk are comparable boats the raptor is a bigger boat and more in line with a pro v of the same size. But if I had to choose between the impact and the raptor I would take the raptor. Now if it was the raptor vs pro v I would have think a lot harder, or the impact vs the fish hawk would be a hard choice, all are good boats and should be seen and checked out close, there are differances.

agree with previous posts, the fishhawk is an apple to apple w a impact, a ProV is equal to a raptor. I own a crestliner, but I also think lunds are great. remember they are both brunswick companies now, and lunds are NOT what they used to be, but still great. I would take the raptor hands down, the layout and fishability is unreal, and can be a family boat too. I dont like the gunnels on the impacts and the rails are very thin, cant put tracks on them and limited mount options. The crestliners have nice thick high gunnels and if you go walkthru the windshield wraps to the gunnel, the impact the windshield and bubbles sit high, makes boat look a little weak and not as deepV looking IMO. And if were talking fishhawk to impact, Id still do the crestliner over the impact. The ProV, tyees, and their high end boats is where LUND really shines, and my 2 cents is stay away from verado. get either an optimax or the 150 fourstroke and your set, just make sure to get hydraulic steering and smartcraft guages and or DTS if you can swing that option and enjoy it. BTW they are both great boats either way u will be happy, dealer service if you need it and arent handy and price is the 2 big factors in ur decision. My crestliner has a nice dry ride and takes big water easy, the wet ones are setup wrong, just like ANY boat thats not setup right, it will plow and spray water, especially when underpowered and wrong prop

As far as the Opti's... Great engines! However, I've seen more of those pass through service than Verados. Two of my buddies, one a tournament angler, the other a fish/ski guy, both have vowed NEVER to buy Merc again specifically due to numerous failures of their Optis... Take if for what you will. There's no need to fear the new Verados. Been running one for a couple seasons now. Recreational, tournaments and guiding... Followed the recommended maintenance and have been VERY satisfied. I had more issues with a pair of new 2010 Yamahas in the first few months than all the time on the water with the Verado. Just my personal experiences and my humble 2 cents... Good luck on your boat buying!!
