catching suspended fish
I live near a little 100 acre lake that sees a lot of pressure. The lake has walleye and crappie. Lately I have been fishing this lake at night under a light. Has anyone any tips for catching suspended fish? It does not help that the water temp is 88 degrees right now.

What depth are you seeing the walleyes and crappies suspended at? Would helpt to know this. Thanks.

Not sure which depth finder you are looking at. First step is understanding if it is "balls or pods of bait fish/bugs" or actual arches on the Finder, which would indicate fish to target. If arches, I'd run cranks. If that doesn't work, run spinners with snap weights, or easier yet, bobbers a foot above the arches.

slip bobber and suspended fish
Fish appear to be all over the column.
Caffineforall- excellent link. I learned some of the finer points of slip bobbering I did not know. This week I have been running irrigation pivots and it has been sooo hot I have not been back out. I will though!

Glad you liked it, but I have even more tips and tricks with slip-bobbers since I started experimenting with them 3 years ago. Keep an eye on it as I'll be posting some more of my "secrets" which I just can't keep to my self ;]
