Default Humminbird SmartStrike Question

Looking at the Wisconsin and Lake of the Woods SmartStrike web pages, I find this note:

*SmartStrike full search functionality is exclusive to High-Definition waters only and select Humminbird HELIX, ONIX and ION units.

I have new Helix units on the way and want to be sure of something before I plop down another four bills for SmartStrike...I am reading that as saying that "Full search functionality will work on high definition waters on a Helix 12 MEGA and a Helix 10 DI."

Correct?

When you look at the cartography compatibility pdf it does not show the Helix 5 and 7 listed as a compatible products for the smartstrike card. I have a Helix 7si and I am going to call them tomorrow to clarify that my unit is compatible.

I suppose, if you go to the url I gave and click the link in the helix 5 and 7, it only goes to G2 models. I wasn't eluding that the 5 and 7 1st gen could do that. I was figuring people would go to the link I gave and click on the hyperlinks the page provided. The context of my answer was for the OP in regards to his 10 and 12. Your 1st gen 7 is not Smartstrike compatible.
