Default HP for 2003 Lund Pro-V

I am looking at purchasing a 2003 lund pro-V with a F115 yamaha. Is this enough power for this boat. I am not a speed demon just looking to do some fishing. It also has a 9.9 kicker. Will be using it in smaller lakes only.

Is it a 1775 Pro V? I would say you will go around 38-40 mph...depending on load.

i have a 2003 Mr. Pike 17, which is an almost identical boat to the 1775 Pro V, with a 115 yamaha 4-stroke, the other day i had myself and my g/f in the boat with empty live wells, one tackle box (about 30 lbs worth) and two rods. i was doing full throttle 34.5 mph. i have no kicker, although from my experience in my friends 1775 (same year) with the same motor and a 9.9 4-stroke kicker with us both in there he averages around 33 to 33.5. you should be right in that range also i'd suspect.

Thank you for the input. It is a Pro-V 1900. I want to make sure it will get on plane quickly and am more concened with that vs top end speed.

I just sold my boat 16ft with a 75 hp. It would run at 32 mph. Now I'm looking for a 19 ft also, and find so many boats with a 115. I think that combo would fall short with a loaded boat.

I decided to hold out for a 135 or 150. Good luck

tell ya what... I have a 18ft prov with a 175 verado on it as well as a kicker. When the livewell is full and I have 1 or 2 passengers I wish I could have put a 225 on it but the coast gaurd wouldnt allow that.....

dont ever go with less than 85% of the max rated HP of any boat.......You are well below that will a 115 on a 19 ft prov.....

You mean (2) F115's, right? I've been in a 1900 w/a F200, it was kind of a dog out of the hole, at least with 3 guys in it. I can't imagine that hull with a 115 on it.

going to be a dog, just like HRG said.
my 1800 prov with a 175 does 53mph with the wife, me, and full tank. i wish i had more motor yet.
that 115 is going to struggle to get the boat on plane in a timely fashion, not to mention that its going to be a fight to KEEP it on plane in rough conditions

I've owned two 2004 1900's, one a dual console SE and one an IFS. The dual SE with a 200 HPDI and the IFS with an F200. The 200 HPDI was fun to drive, the F200 not so much. That hull coupled with an F115 is drastically underpowered. At that point the hull was rated for 200. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
