Default Trolling with an E-Tec 150hp ?

So just short of buying a kicker, if I repower to a 150 e-tec or the H.O. Series, will I be able to troll ? And what is the difference between the two ?

The nice thing about etecs is they are programmed to idle around 500 rpms from the factory. If it is calm, it is closer to 2.5 mph, less in the wind.
