The battery charger is not usually in the battery compartment is it? I don't think I've ever seen that. You definatly want it in the front of the boat so water doesn't wash over it all the time.

My trolling batteries and 3 bank charger are in the rod locker in my 2010. I've never seen an 1825.

Default Dual Pro

The charger storage is designed for the Dual-Pro Professional series. The Minn Kota chargers are quite a bit taller than the dual pro.

A Dual Pro SS3 is 11.25" x 8" x 4.75", also 10 amps/bank http://pcsdv.corecommerce.com/Sports...an-Series.html

A pair of 31-series trays looks like they'll need about 15"(side by side) x 13"

A dual-27 series battery tray (both batteries in 1 tray) is 14" x 12.25" http://www.cabelas.com/auto-boat-bat...&mr:adType=pla

So, anyone with an 1825 Pro Guide have a tape measure???????

Thanks! I wasn't expecting to see the charger in it's own compartment, with the restricted opening. It's clear now why the 3-bank MinnKota chargers have a hard time fitting.

That seems like a serious design flaw by Lund. Making a compartment to small for a common charger seems like a huge oversight. I guess if I ever consdier the 1825 Pro Guide I'll need to look for storage elsewhere for a 4 bank charger and the 4th battery. That or stay with a 24v system and a kicker.

It is funny since the 1725 was OK with the 3 bank. Would not take much to fix with a metal nibbler and some replacement vinyl.

The 1825 pro guide has room for a 2, 3, or 4 bank charger. The ONLY chargers that will not work are the larger Minn Kota chargers. They will fit in but are designed way too tall and take up some of the room needed for the lower set of rods. I have a 2010 with a Dual Pro 4 bank charger and it fits perfect. Same compartment size as the 1825. If the Minn Kota chargers were shorter there would be no problem There are quite a few 1825's running 36 volt. Just need to put the 3rd batt in the port storage next to rod locker.

How's the quality on those Dual Pros compared to Minn Kota?

For those that are interested. Looks like you need to stick the the 10 amp/bank Sportsman Series of Dual Pro to fit it in the compartment.

Minn Kota MK460 = 14.50"L x 6.75"W x 8"H
Dual Pro PS4 = 15.78"L x 8.25"W x 7.25"H

Minn Kota MK 440 = 11.75" L x 6.75"W x 8"H
Dual Pro SS4 = 8.00"W x 14.25"L x 4.75"H
