Default L & c lake hot !!!!

Fished Saturday and Sunday from 8 am till
We fished from 8 till 11 am Saturday. 16 walleye & Sauger from 17 1/2 in to 28 in
Sunday took a littler longer to get our limit. We did not keep a fish under 20.in and over 25. We were off and headed home by 2 PM.
We trolled toward the gates the closer we got the hotter the bite. Ever thing was hitting our lures. Silvers, brobze backs, pike, crappie & sheephead. Even got 2 cats and a bluegill in the fast water.

Default Fast water !!!!

Yes. I do not know how to explain it any better. All 14 gates are open about 4 feet. The amount of water going threw the gates and generators is now over 100,000 cfs
As we trolled towards the open gates. We could feel the water pulling our boats . As we trolled away from the gates. We could throttle down the kicker. I am not sure what you would call the drag. But we all called it current.
Below the dam is closed to all boating trafic.but the shore fishermen are slottering the fish. Down by the bridge the people are using landing nets to pick fresh dead and gilling fish up that are coming threw the gates or are getting all beat up in the fast water down there

And if he kept limits of fish over 20" that would be 1 fish per person. I hope thats all they kept.

Daily bag limit – may contain only one walleye, sauger or saugeye 22 inches or longer

On all inland waters, except Elwood and Sherman reservoirs

• 15-inch minimum – statewide, except for the portion of the Missouri River

Downstream of Gavins Point Dam (no minimum length).

Walleye, sauger, saugeye (in combination) *

NOTE: In combination; only one fish 22 inches or longer allowed in daily bag;

Except in the portion of the Missouri river from the South Dakota border, below the Fort Randell dam to Gavins Point Dam (15inch minimum lenth) .
Pay attention to the words inland waters, border waters, in the Missouri river system below the Fort Randell dam. Then acuse me of breaking the law.

You are correct but I don't think many people are aware of the limits at L&C lake. Shhhhhhhh.

Where did you find this info? I looked at the 2011 fishing handbook online and didn't see anything like this. On page 20 it talks about sd/ne border waters but didn't see anything in there. Not saying your wrong, just wondering where you found this.

I can't find anything about 22" on border waters either. It allways used to be 20" on L&C, the same as the rest of SD Reservoirs.
