Default will insurance cover motor

I had an oil line come loose on my 2004 Yamaha hpdi and it blew the port upper cylinder. Will my boat insurance cover this? My policy says I have 43,200 coverage on boat, motor and equipment. I appreciate any insight. Thanks

Insurance policy most likely excludes mechanial failure. No coverage but if you have an insurance policy jacket look at the list of exclusion or just call your agent. Sorry.

some companies provide mechanical breakdown protection. You will need to check with your agent. Typically no, mechanical breakdown is not covered.

let us know how this turns out for you. I have a mercruiser and the line going to my remote oil filter came loose once and lost my oil. luckily we shut the motor down when my daughter n law heard the lifters rattling.
