Get the two speed winch or maybe even a power boat winch.
Don't worry about the bow eye, it is plenty strong enough.
However when you load a boat on a bunk trailer back in far enough to get the bunks wet and then pull out to the correct level for loading. Generally I want about a foot of the front of the bunks out of the water. But it varies depending on the angle of the ramp. I usually drive onto the trailer, shut off the motor, tilt up, and winch the boat on the last 6-12 inches.

If I do that at steep landings, the back of the boat will not stay centered on the trailer as I pull up the ramp. So winching the boat up the last foot makes life easier.

Or should I be looking for one with a higher load capacity?

Thanks!
Yep, that winch is better than the one on your trailer. I replaced the winch on my 2007 619 Fisherman trailer about 3 years ago with the one you are looking at and it has worked out great.

I have a 2015 Ranger 620FS with a 250HO G2, coming from a 620T. The first thing I noticed was the standard winch could not handle the boat. I called the dealer and they told me that the system was not meant to "winch" the boat in place on the trailer yet I could not even snug it up with the factory one. I bought the same exact 3200# 2 speed winch and wow, what a difference. I still make the best effort to get the boat up as close as I can however the new winch always finishes the job perfectly and it just feels better. I like the low gear ratio as well because usually I am only snugging up the last 1 - 4 inches. You will not regret switching for sure.

BTW, I see you are in Champlin, if you want to come over and see mine, I am in Dayton, a few miles away and I would be happy to show you the set up.

Right in my back yard! I appreciate the offer but just knowing that others are using this winch with success is enough for me. I just need to get around to ordering it and then finding the time to install it. :-)
