No, it isn't. It's from a junk design and the trigger actually breaks. Not he mechanism, the actual trigger.

really so why is rem saying it is from the over application of the clear sealer they put on the trigger. So you are saying the shoe is breaking in half. I would like to see some pics of the broken shoe.

Actually some of the posts mentioned this.
There was a TV segment on faulty Remington triggers awhile back. They have been having some type of problem with them for years, but never had a recall on most of their models. I believe it involved mostly the 700's.
I own a bunch of Remington rifles and never had a problem with the triggers.
The 600 and 660's were under a trigger recall for years. Those I decided to get fixed, because of the recall on those specific models. I believe the problem with them involved the weapon firing when the safety was pushed off.
BTW! I'll also pay $100.00 for those junk Remingtons if you don't want them, especially 600 and 660 Magnums!!!!!

Here's a link of one that broke off at the adjustment screw. I know I've seen a few others. If that isn't what the recall was for.... I screwed up. That should also be included if it wasn't.

I use Timney anyway so I'm not sending mine back.
