Yes, I am the original owner. The $1500 is for freight. I don't see how I should be responsible for there screw up.
I was told they had to replace the tin and the wood on it. The boat was less than 2 years old when I saw the paint starting to blister on it.

Wow. There is no way you should be paying for anything after dropping that kind of coin, and having to deal with what you are dealing with. I am not excited to see this at all. Please keep us posted on this for sure!

Who is your dealer? Why aren't they shipping it to them for you to pick up?

At $1500, I'd be making a road trip to see beautiful New York Mills!

That's completely unacceptable.
I just stopped at a dealership today to visit and waste some time. I found that a new 1900 Tyee with a 200 vrod and an 1850 Ranger Reata with 175 vrod are basically the same money. Obviously they're not the same boats and I know I'm comparing apples to oranges but for my purposes, either boat would work and if this is the way Lund warranty works these days, looks like today, I'd have to go Ranger.

I bought a new Lund tyee gl last fall and had some problems with the boat. I dropped it off in New York Mills and they fixed it the same day. They were very easy to work with.

Tim,
Your dealer is wrong, he needs to talk with the Lund warranty department regarding return shipping. There is no cost to you. HRG

No Charge..
Phezhead, your dealer has misinformed you.
Somebody, somehow, got their wires crossed on this. You won't be charged for that. All my years as a dealer , and since, I had never heard of such a thing. To make absolute certain I called people I know in Warranty and they said , no way. No changes. No charge for freight on your warranty issue Sorry you were given bad info. You deserve to be excited. I would have been too. Last edited by T Mac; 04-21-2015 at 02:41 PM. |
