1775 Pro-V IFS, loaded (no kicker) (batteries, bow mount, two anchors in forward compartment, full gas, pretty full starboard stern compartment (tools, etc.), two people in boat, one dog (total 400#), probably another 50# of tackle and misc. gear, engine mounted up one hole, Merc Laser II 19p, empty live wells, 49.8 mph gps. Chippewa Flowage, Hayward, WI, Sept. 2012.

Mine's pretty new, just ten hours. Nice & smooth, much quieter than my old 115 two stroke four cylinder Merc. Nice engine.

Maybe she knows something we don't

I'm looking to upgrade my explorer but am not sure what to go with.
The 1875 pro v sure sounds nice and I'm set on the new merc 150 but that won't max out my power. I said that my next boat I will max out but the pro v sure is tempting.
Do you guys think the 1875 pro v with the 150 4 stroke and a 9.9 kicker with 2 adults and full gear will hit 50mph? That is all I'm hoping for .

Don't think so. If you're happy enough letting the fish wait another couple minutes for you to get there, I'd think 46 or so wouldn't be a problem.

With all of the cubes of the 150, there was talk of a higher HP version in the works when they came out.
Anything ever come of it?? Would love to see a 200 hp version. Just not a heavyweight Verado fan. Would love to see a 4 cycle in the same weight class as a comparable hp 2 cycle.

ANYONE interested in that Combo, I have several guys running it, the 3liter 150 is definitely not putting out 150, it seems to run faster than my customers 175 Verado, which is weird, the Weight must make that big difference....Call me anytime for help, I WILL NOT TRY TO SELL ANYTHING, not my intention on WC....847-450-4011

Just ran my new 150 today. Holy crap is that an awesome motor. Very strong engine. I have mine on the back of a WX1850. Jumps on plane fairly quickly. Can't wait to get the motor broke in so I can really see what it can do with that boat. I've had 200's and a 175 on the same hull, so I can really get an idea of how it compares to those. Looking forward to more "real world" testing to see how it performs under a tournament load and full livewell.

As for the 200 version, I take the fifth

I would imagine that if there is a new 200 coming out, we will see it in the next year or so. Mainly because Yamaha just released their new 200 offshore.

Mark is there a press release or this from dealer? I know Yamaha just concluded their 2013 dealer meetings.

This is what I could find with a quick search.

http://www.fishhound.com/blog/yamaha...-4-stroke-f200

I am not a dealer, just a Mercury Pro Staff member. When I talk to people in the know about the Merc 200 4-stroke, all I get is some winks and nods if you know what I mean. They are so busy keeping up with the demand for the 150 4-stroke right now, I don't think they have time to worry about the 200 version.
