Default could this fish really be 17.8 lbs?

I found this picture surfing the world wide walleye web , this guy is claiming this is a 17.8 lb fish, I'm not saying it isnt, Im saying it looks like a common erie 10 pounder...maybe im wrong, what do you think? http://www.walleyehunter.com/charley.html

I agree. Nice fish, but someone must of had their thumb on the scale on that one...

Look, not to degrade this gentlemans fish, but its just not
all that!.....Look at Freebirds pics.....Have also seen many
fish bigger at the Sportmans Outpost w/ Den and Jim! we must
be all bored! interesting thread though!

I agree looks like a 9/10lber ,not enough belly on that fish to be 17 lb just my .02 worth .jim

Weight calculator for WC says the fish should weigh 16.8 lbs, so either someone isn't so full of it or put a lot of effort into the fabrication of a story.

I've got a 33 incher on the wall that weighed 10.4 pounds. Looks just like what he has in his hands no bigger no smaller! I'd say someones scales are way off!! Craig

When he stated that the fish made three runs of 30 to 50 yards, should be an indication that the weight should be looked at with skepticism.

It measured 33.6 in. in length and had a 23 in. girth!
Wow! Nice fish a little short!
