Default Networking locators

We have two Lowrance Elite 7 HDI locators on our Ranger. One mounted in the bow with the transducer mounted on the trolling motor and the othe one mounted on the console with the transducer mounted on the transom. Can we network these together to improve structure definition and help to eliminate screen lock up and interference we sometimes encounter? Also,
What frequency should we be using for the best performance in waters up to 100 ft depth?
Any help or advice will be appreciated.
Thanks,
kampkook01

The Elite 7 HDI does not have ethernet capability, so you can't share sonar transducers. You are getting same frequency interference, and you need to have each transducer set to different frequencies such as front 83/455 kHz and transom 200/800 kHz or vice versa.

You can install a NMEA 2000 network, and connect the Elite's over the NMEA which allows sharing waypoints but this is the only networking available for the Elite HDI.

Thanks for the reply. You have confirmed our assumptions on the networking. Didn't know about frequency issue. We thought they had to be set alike.
Good fishing,

Default Opinion

Water to 100'?

50 khz-or 83khz provide good bottom def but I like a 200 narrow cone angle transducer for 50'-100' less dead band if close to drop offs

Wide 200 cone angle for 0-50 feet

Always stay on different frequencies to avoid interference.
