Default Need some help?

We are having a family gathering this Saturday evening. We are planning on serving grilled burgers with what I call a burger bar (all the fixings). Hoping you guys & gals can give me more ideas of what you like to do with burgers and how you like to serve them such as toppings and recipes.

Thanks for your input!

Stinky - when we have friends over for a bbq, it seems like half the people come to eat right away, the other half wait for a bit because their chatting, partying, etc, so what I like to do is put the finished burgers into a bath so they don't dry out. It doesn't take long for burgers to cool off and get dry. I will place an aluminum pan on the grill and melt a stick of butter, a whole onion (sliced) and 1-2 cans of beer and let it simmer while the burgers cook. When the burgers are done, the people that want to eat right away can get theirs hot, the other burgers and brats go into the bath. Very tasty, and the onions can be used as a topping.

I like to use the 1cast formula - but I put our extra's into the electric roaster (we have one of the server inserts/3 littel pans) - then I do not have to keep grill going to keep food warm. 1 spot for rare burgers, 1 for medium and one for brats.......

We chop up some green pepper, some onion and mix right in with ground beef - sometimes a packet of lipton onion soup mix goes good too. Make a few patties up and see who likes it

Best burgers you ever had!! For every 1 1/2# of meat add 1/4 cup tomato juice 1/4 ts of fresh ground pepper and 1 ts salt, mix well. I make mine 1/2 # each. use a very hot grille to sear, just flip once and don`t flatten. Wiredog

Fixings:
Cheeses: Pepper Jack, Cheddar, American, Swiss, Havarti, Provolone, Bleu

Onions: Raw and Caramelized

Mushrooms: Sauteed

Bacon: Crispy

Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles (both dill and "bread and butter" chips)

Avacado (toss in lemon juice to keep it in an air tight container to help keep it looking green and fresh)

ketchup, mustard, Ranch dressing, A-1 Sauce, Bleu Cheese dressing

Salt and Pepper

ummm...that's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment...

I like to cook bacon and grind it up to mix in with the ground beef before going on the grill. It tastes great and they cook faster due to the bacon grease!
