MercMonitor question.
Hi all. I have a 2015 Merc 150 4S on my Lund Impact 1850 XS and I would like to add the MercMonitor gauge package to the boat in order to have an onboard hour meter, adjust RPM, see fuel consumption, etc. My dealer has a 4 year old MercMonitor Level 3 Pro package that they are willing to sell me at a significant discount due to it being older stock. I'm having a hard time finding info on this unit online. Can anyone tell me if this unit will do what I want it to do? The new version Level 2 package is about twice the price of what they would sell this to me for.
I contemplated just doing a NMEA network to my Helix 9, but the price for that will actually be more than this gauge package. Any info would be helpful as I'm new to these boat networks and gauge packages. Thanks! SkWalter

I added a MercMonitor and if i recall everything works but tilt and trim and Eco because i need a digital trim sensor and my fuel tank level which is likely a different sensor to.

SkWalter,
For those functions you've mentioned, all you really need is a SC1000 tachometer and single data cable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercury-Smar...NXmR7Y&vxp=mtr The MercMonitor is nice, if you want/need the NMEA output for other reasons. HRG

I'm assuming that it is pretty much "plug n play"? Dealer said my boat had the junction box under the dash already. Also, suspect it replaces the current tach? SS
