Been doing pretty good in 17...quite a few 20+" walleyes this year...mostly pitching to rocks below dam

it was hot and heavy for a few hours wedn in the slough on 16. took home some eaters and caught a lot of 14-14.75" walleyes.
something changed on Thursday and it got way filthy. they opened up the tubes on the straight away and it was all current. up near the arsenal was gross and dirty. we got out saturday again and it was the same. very slow, a few eaters. but none of the smaller fish. guys were having much better luck on 14. |

Anybody know what the ice conditions are like by the dam above New Boston? Are any of the ramps open?

Drove down to new boston last friday 12/30. Did not put the boat in, but the ramp was open. A lot of ice coming down and the river was high and moving fast. With this cold snap, will need another warm up, before its doable again.
