Would a properly pitched FS not have done the same thing?

Ill never know fer sure but the bravo fs had no hole shot the more weight the worst it got. The bravo LT lifts the hole boat out not gust the stern. I know the smaller pitch helped Is it the smaller pitch or the LT dont know maybe both

Yeah funny deal how they react fifferently, I swapped a buddy a 21p Tempest+ for a 22p Bravo 1 FS and the holeshot was pretty **** good on my boat, 2400 lb. dry weight hull, loaded down with gear, 5 batteries, 187# kicker, 2-200#+ guys and about 3/4 tank of gas for me, Don't know offhand what your ZV21 is loaded but I'd guess heavier especially with the Verado. That hull needs a 350 of course.
Good to hear Merc came out with a good prop for these heavy M.S. boats though. |

in the next couple of weeks we are headed to see Rick the propman. Going to hopefully test how the new Bravo 1 LT does with a 250 Pro XS on the ZV21. The Tempest 21 is not a very good prop for this big arsed boat.
We will see what the difference is between the LT and FS both in a 21 and 22P. We need more lift and I think the LT might be the best choice.

Remember the bravo runs best high. Going to raise motor 1\2 inch next time out and see what happens.

With a tempest we have to run the jackplate all the way down for best results. But again we knew that going in and with the jackplate we should be able to run close to the 5 inches it can go up.

My cavitation plate is 4 inch from bottom of boat, and prop to pad is about 3 1/2 inches

I run a Zv21 with the 350 and results are as follows,
With a 22 Bravo FS with cup added and blades thinned 63ish at 6380 rpm 21 Bravo FS 59.5 on the rev limiter I haven't tried an LT but think I might step up to a 24 Bravo LT. I also added a Bobs Machine Shop hydraulic jackplate so I could gain some speed and get on plane in shallow water. |
