Fishing in the U.P.

The last couple years I have taken a trip to Michigan early in July. We stay near Iron Mountain .There are a lot of lakes in the area and I was wondering if anyone could steer me towards some good ones.I'd like to
catch some walleyes but really just like to catch fish.

portage entry is good for walleye,pike and smallies.and great laketrout if you go out into the big lake.also try rice lake for pike too!

You might want to try Peavy Pond for walleyes if you're staying near Iron Mountain again.
