Default Buying a boat in CN from the US

The exchange rates look pretty good right now. Anyone been through the process of buying a Canadian used boat while living in the US?

How do you get all that money transferred to a CN buyer and with the proper exchange rate?

Just go to the bank and get the agreed price in Canadian dollars in a form of a cashier check, the bank should be able to do the conversion based on the exchange rate.
Once huge thing when it comes to registering the boat once back in the US is to make sure that boat coming from Canada is inspected by US Customs or you will run into issues when trying to title or license that boat. Its a free inspection, but you need the paperwork once you head to DMV to license.
