Default Lake Vermilion

I'm going to Lake Vermilion today for a week. Anyone have an educated guess how deep the Walleye will be? Are the scattered yet?

Right now it is about 30 degrees up there. So, the water is not warming up very fast right now.

Just check with local bait shops and guides and resorts to find the general depth and location of the fish.

Start shallow and go deeper if you don't find them.

Look for them bunched up. If you don't find them bunched up, look for them scattered.

Be safe

25-35' deep in narrows and main point breaks. Water has cooled off lots in the past week. It's been fairly slow

I've been out most evenings since the season opened. I live on the west end of vermilion and as is usual these days having issues catching fish small enough to keep. Mostly slot fish a few each time I'm out in 18-20' of water on a rig with a shiner. Main lake points
