The In Depth Outdoors site has a Skeeter section where you can see reviews from many owners.

3 adults is fine in the MX1825, 4 would be cramped and near the weight limit.

Default decisions, decisions!

I have a MX 1825 w/ F200 Yam. If you go to the Yamaha website and look at performance reports there is good comparisons of combinations.
I am boat shopping and really like my Skeeter and the Yamaha is reputed to get much better mileage than the Verado. Comparing the MX with WX, I generally fish alone or one other but will never have more than two so the jump seats are just a waste of storage space. But it may well appeal to someone at resale time. I really like the shelves under the consoles of the MX. The deeper hull of WX is appealing to me.
Not knowing the price of each I am surprised a 2 years old boat is priced the same as a new boat even though it is slightly larger.
A nice advantage to a late model used is the accessories included. Does the used one have any electronics? rod holders?
Even though you may not be interested in the new Skeeter packages they do create good comparison to used boat.
Usually it will boils down to one thing... does you wife like the color?
If you want to shop Craigslist for prices comparison have you checked www.searchtempest.com

2012, I was in the same boat as you. MX 1825, or the Wx1850. I thought I would prefer the MX platform better because of the React keel, snap in carpet, more level ride at idle, and possibly a more stable stance while fishing.

Wife like the jump seats of the WX.

I think you know which one I got.

Max HP on the WX 1850 is 150/ maybe 200 for the 1825.

If they ever retool the WX 1850 with React Keel, and snap in carpet, Ill be the first to order a new one. Until then, Im still in love with my 2012 WX 1850.

I'm a fan of the WX series over the MX. I absolutely love my 1910 and it's a heck of a big water boat for a 19'er. Don't think the other 2 would be nearly as good if ML got nasty on you. My personal opinion is that the MX would be my third choice out of the 3 with the 1910 being #1. I don't like the fact it has the single axle trailer though. It's a lot of boat for that and if you plan to take long trips, it might not be ideal. If you're mainly doing short runs, shouldn't be an issue.

I run a skeeter WX2060 which I could not be happier with. My previous boat was a WX1850 with a 150 and for an 18ft boat it was phenomenal and I put it through a lot. My recommendation to you is that if you are in the market for a skeeter you need to call 763-450-0400 and talk to Dean at Skeeter Boat Center in Ramsey. He can answer any of your questions and he will tell it to you straight. If you do call and talk to him tell him Derrick Holman sent you and he will hook you up. Thanks! Look forward to seeing you in a skeeter.
