Default Lowrance 5x Hook Sonar/Transducer ...

To make long story short...

Bought above "open box item" last winter in prep for Canadian trip. Powered up on the bench, verified that sonar seemed to work OK. Put it back in the box till last night.

Planning on taking it out on water this weekend , I started assembling it. Now I realize that transducer connector does not fit the back of the sonar (BLUE one). The transducer connector is female type with 6 holes (3 columns by 2 holes) - it has two cables coming out.. one going to transducer and another one ends up being stripped cables (black and red ) which is maybe battery ???

The transducer has "skimmer" on the side so from what I have seen .. at least has the correct name ....

so now ... not sure what is going on ... is this the correct transducer and I simply needs some sort of conversion plug ? Can I make it work with 5x Hook ?

Any ideas ?

NO NO NO!! What you need are these: (https://www.google.com/search?q=lowr...t/m+transducer)
and one of these: (https://www.thegpsstore.com/Lowrance...its-P3326.aspx)

I would surmise that someone switched out "stuff" in that "open box" Hook 5X prior to your purchasing it leaving you to now have to purchase the correct transducer and power cable for your Hook 5X. SUX!!!

May as well do that as the conversion plug is $35 while the new sonar is $99 . .. at least I know I have the correct stuff.

Why would I need (https://www.thegpsstore.com/Lowrance...its-P3326.aspx) ? The new sonar comes with the cable ...
