Pheasant numbers are up in Neb

Just got back from a trip to Neb for pheasant and quail. We saw a lot more birds than last year, both pheasant and quail. I have a 9 year old Drahthaar and my friend has an 8 year old Drat as well. I don’t hunt him much but I was so proud of several of his retrieves this year. I also came across this buck, looked to have been taken down by coyotes. It had a large lump on one of his hind quarters. I plan to make a European style mount out of it.
