I hope that you installed the breaker right at the vehicles battery in order to protect the wire to the plug.

I was going to take a video of the boat being winched
in today. But by the time I got to the launch it was dark.

Yes the breaker is on the battery terminal connector. Also ran wire thru plastic conduit and tie wrapped in many places to secure from pinching or rubbing and heat.
