Default Need new Leadcore

Sufix, Cortland, or Mason? I don't care for the Cabelas stuff I picked up a month ago, it kinks easily and doesn't go through the guides smoothly. I'd like to try Sufix but heard a willis knot won't hold with it...

I use Cortland and it definitely is a step ahead of Cabelas. I have not tried the other two you mentioned.

Cortland works with the Willis knot and works on the bigger fish 30+# stripers.

Never had any issues with Sufix either. No issues with any knots whatsoever. I really like the tight weave of the sheath, which really seems to help with the little lead pokes that drive core pullers nuts.

Sufix is not the leadcore for putting your leader inside the sheath. Very difficult if you use braid!

I picked up a couple spools of sufix. I was able to tie a willis with 14lb vanish with no problems.
Thanks Guys
