Default Kicker to Match White Etec

Contemplating a new boat with a white Etec. I would like to put a matching white kicker on the back. Evinrude rebadges Tohatsus (similar to Mercury) but I believe they only come in the color blue. I would really like my kicker to match.

Thinking about buying a Tohatsu and getting it painted. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Until someone else makes an EFI kicker, I would only get a Suzuki.
If you need it to match, have it painted and put Evinrude decals on it.

I think Evinrude make a "trolling" motor down to 15hp, but don't know if it comes in white. However, they apparently are very, very heavy and you probably don't want a 15hp kicker anyway.

The 15hp ETEC comes in white. That's what's on my boat.

All the qualities of the big ETEC's in a little motor.

Thanks Juls. The 15 Etec is out of play because of the weight. I take my kicker off my boat about 4 weeks per year when the kids are in tube/ski mode.

Want to stick with a motor of 120 lbs or less

If weight is a concern get a smaller kicker like a 6hp, they are usually 60lbs. If you are against the vibrations of a single cylinder the 8 and 9.9 are the same weights and blocks, might as well go 9.9 I kno there are some older yamahas around that are 6hp and twin cylinder, only made for a few years I beleive, not positive if they are avail anymore, maybe find a used one in good shape and repaint. I will tell you its not hard to paint a kicker, have done two and they were pretty easy. decals via ebay, on my little boat I decaled my merc 6hp to match my suzuki 4stroke lol

Just another option, I have a 2004 9.9 Johnson that is white. I don't know what yr. they stopped making the white Johnsons, but they are pretty nice motors. Maby look around for a used one; that is unless you want new.

I had a white Johnson kicker on one of my boats. I think it was a four-stroke and 8.8 hp. Worked great for us, but sold it when selling the boat back in 2005. I wonder if a person could still find any of them.
