Got a picture from behind of how the kicker is mounted? Is it possible that in one direction, you're blowing thrust against the deeper V of the transom?

If you figure it out WalleyeHunter, you let us know.

If it was mounted in the middle of the boat, it would have the characteristics you're mentioning. But on the side of the boat, it's just kind of the way it is as far as I know.

How long is the leg of you kicker OB? If it is the same length as your main engine, you shouldn't have that problem. If it's shorter the comment about thrusting against the very bottom of your boat applies.
