Default Looking for resort for Rainy Lake trip

Looking for some input on a place to stay on the US side of Rainy Lake. Taking my lady with me and we are looking for a cabin with or without a meal plan. Taking my own boat. Can i get some feedback from those that have stayed up that way.
Thanks

Due to my last two experience's at Island View I always took opportunites like this to warn people from going there. But to be fair enough years have passed that it may be ok again. I still wouldnt go there.

Have you thought about getting a houseboat? There are 2 outfits on the lake, http://www.rainylakehouseboats.com/ and http://www.northernairehouseboats.com/index.html

If you fill your gas tank at Island View I'd fill five gallon tanks and then pour them into your boat. Trust me and the Smart Craft on my Verado. They'll charge a premium because they're on the water. I think that's earned given the DNR and EPA BUT the fact that the only pump I've found not in sync with the smartcraft is at the Island View dock keeps me from going back.

The cabins aren't too bad but don't buy the gas without a way to prove what you buy!

Too bad I believe in the old addage "fool me once its your fault, fool me twice" oh well, you know the rest of the story!

Default Rainy Lake Resorts

I want to thank everyone for their input. My first choice is the Thunderbird. I just need to nail down a time, I'm sure the month of June is pretty booked up. I will post what I find out.
