I just ran a quote for $250k face amount male age 52 standard non-tobacco on our company's term life product.

10 yr term = $858

15 yr term = $1120

20 yr term = $1435

If you qualify for preferred non-smoker rates:

10 yr term = $533

15 yr term = $695

20 yr term = $883

Term rates are at an all time low.

You might also want to look at "return premium" policies. For me (at 33 years old at start of policy), it made more sense.
