Default Lowe or Lund? WELDED or RIVETED?

I'm looking at a 2012 Lund 1875 Pro-V Loaded to the max! with 37 hours on the 175 HP Verado Merc. linked to a 9.9 bigfoot. Asking price $35. Also looking at both a 2013 & 2014 Lowe the 13 is silver the 14 I can pick color. Both boats I picked a 150 Hp 4 stroke Merc and the bigfoot kicker linked. troller w/ Ipilot and not sure on electronics yet! Both the Lowe boats come in about the same as the Lund boat, although the 13 boat is cheaper, but have to pay for shipping! So a wash! I can pick up a 2004 Lund Pro-V SE with 39 Hours on the Yamaha 150 4 stroke with a 9.9 kicker and all the goodies, ready to fish for asking price of $22. (original owner garaged whole life in great shape) This will be my first deep V boat coming from a bass boat and I would like all the help I can get! I like the fact the Lowe boat is a welded boat! Not a big fan of riveted boats! Had to many leaker's as a kid! HELP!!!

I wanted to thank everyone for helping me out in my boat buying process and let you all know I went with the 2012 Lund Pro V 1875 with the 175 Verado and a merc 9.9 kicker. Way to many extras to list! Sure am going to have fun with this one!

If those are your choices I would take the pro v any day. I have only ever been in one Lowe. I would not drop 35 grand on a lowe.

The 1875 pro v. I think 22 grand for the other boat is a bit high. Plus that is a long time sitting around if it only has 20 some hours on it.

Default Lowe or Lund

I have a Lund 1875 ProV with a 200 Vrod and a 9.9 4 stroke kicker. I for sure would consider this boat over the others. The 2012 ProV has the IPS 2 hull - a better, drier ride than my previous Lunds. I would suggest that you see if the motors have a transferable warranty (mine has 5 years on both motors), take the boat to a Mercury dealer and have them put it on their engine computer - see how it was run/broken in and if there are any problems developing. This will cost you for the inspection, but it is well worth it. Trailer? I opted for a tandem axle trailer - I travel around quite a bit.

If I were a serious buyer I'd be all over the 2004. You didn't say however which Pro-V (length) it was though plus if 22K is the asking price then you may get it for even less. What kind of electronics are on it and where can I see it so that I can give you a better assessment? Perhaps the phone number of the owner so that I can schedule a viewing in order to give you a really good appraisal. As far as leaky rivets......I think Lund fixed that problem long, long ago. If you don't buy this boat soon I really would like a PM with the owner information, if you don't mind. Thanks

Heres' the situation on these two brands. And it has been alluded to already in this thread.
Lowe is Brunswick's price point aluminum boat line.
Lund is their premium fishing boat line.
The Pro V is the top of the Lund line up.

Thus the prices you mention.

A 2012 Lund has already taken the big hit on "price" depreciation.
A two year old Lund Pro V is a pretty limited and highly sought after commodity.

Default Interesting Question

Now while I don't really have a problem with Lowe boats, I just can't really wrap my head around making a fair comparison to a Pro-V. For the 35K you have a whole world of choices to choose from...but not trying to stray and strictly answer your question. I would go for the 04 for 22K over the other choices given.
