Default muskie fishing at minaki

going to try paradise lodge at minaki on opener for muskies never been there before any one fish that area for muskies ... any info would be appreciated ....

I'm sure you have looked at the maps already. What did you want it know. You will be either docked in the back of Jackfish bay or on the main river channel depending what cabins you get. There are Musky's all over the system including right where you are so you don't have to go far if you don't want to.

thx thats what was wondering about if had to travel a long ways for muskie fishing from lodge..

As already stated, there are muskies everywhere, but I found the fishing better north of the railroad bridge and darn near spectacular in Rough Rock Lake.

Well guys i went to minaki for 4 days fishing caught one 44 inch muskie small mouth where very slow walleye where worse would never go back again poor fishing and to much boat traffic will look for better spot for next trip..

How was the water level when you were there? We (Group of 8) went last year about the same dates. Stayed in a great cabin on Dead Boy Island North of Minaki. Water level was about 8 feet higher than normal. Docks had to be weighted down with 55 gallon barrels full of water or they would float away. Could not scare up a Muskie but we did catch enough Walleye to eat every night. Probable the toughest fishing conditions we've ever run into going to Canada at various places for 40 years.

ya there are certainly better spots not so much traffic and better fishing for sure...
