Default Fisher boats

I am in the market for a used boat and have seen a few fisher boats for sale. I can't seem to find a website so I am guessing they don't make these anymore. I am wondering how good of a boat they are and how they compare to other quality made boats. I know they make fiberglass and aluminum boats so feedback on both would be helpful. If they don't make them anymore I would think it would be hard to find replacement parts.

Older Fishers were pretty good, welded hull, great hull design and good layout.

I had a older SV-3 and it gave me many years of good service with a 75 Evinrude and a Terrova 50# on the bow.

Not much for creature comforts or storage, but it had nice livewells and the nicest front/back deck set up I've ever seen in a 16 foot boat.

New ones didn't impress me much though so I'd be careful if I was you.

Aren't they just trackers?

I know a guy that has one. He was so amped when he ordered it. The first night it was docked it sunk. He wasn't happy. The dealer tore the whole thing apart and fixed it. Runs great now and hasn't sunk since.

Had a 14 ft. Back in 1980 to 1987. Had a 20 HP Mariner.the package performed flawless and was used hard.

I own an older fisher, I got a good deal on it used.

No, its not as nice as the new lunds/alumacraft/g3 etc, but I'm a die hard fisherman.

It has a newer main motor, a nice kicker, a good terrova ipilot, and a hummingbird 898si on it.

The seats are comfortable.

so the rest of the boat is the "stuff" I stand on to fish. Does that need to be fancy? No, it fits my needs just fine.

Fisher renamed and became Tracker.

If you are comparing to quality made boats, keep looking. Hulls are questionable, why take a chance?
Take care,

Many hull cracking issues if you run in the rough stuff.

I had a 16ft fisher side console bought new in 99 with a 60horse motor. I fished it for 12 years with minimal issues. Caught a pile of fish in that thing. Traded it for a 2011 1825 pro guide. Night and day difference in ride and fishability. My brother has a 2000 18ft fisher with a 150. Hull has cracked in 3 different places. So i would say a smaller lesser powered boat is servicable. Stay away from anything with bigger power cuz they dont stand up.
