Default Thanks Guys

Good info here. Yes, we will also try a few other spots. Our cabin is within several hundred feet of one of the launches so getting in and out won't be a big deal.

The boat we'll be in is a 18.5' Sea Nymph. It's a pretty deep boat. It isn't set up to troll the Great Lakes but I was thinking of getting just one downrigger and running a few lines off it. My friend has several nice trolling rods. And I've got a tackle box full of trout/salmon lures.

I wonder if we could get out on the big lake and catch something without too much trouble out there.

Default RE: Thanks Guys

dont have to run far to middle island.

get two dipseys(big ones)-or 4 and can run those. not as good as riggers, but i always run two diupseys with my riggers. Sometime they outproduce the riggers.
