Default Terrova

A short while ago there was a post about a noisy Terrova and I made a comment that mine was quite noisy and grinding and had rust streaks on the shafts and base. I speculated that there was a bearing going bad but the consensus was there were no steel bearings in the shafts housing. Took my motor in on Monday and the repair depot found a seal had failed on the shafts and seized the steel bearing in the housing....so there is a steel bearing in them. He didn't have the part so he took out the bearing so I can use it till the part comes in. Just a heads up

Thanks for the heads up. Took mine out for one last day a week ago and gave her a work out and all seemed to be good. Put her to bed and I will see what she does next spring.

Yes there IS the one bearing pressed onto the back side of the armature shaft
Sometimes its a pia to remove and replace it, All new armatures include the bearing pre-installed if something gets damaged removing it.
I was the one that said no bearings within the STEERING housing.
