Default Who activated "plan B" or had to cancel.

Anyone have to activate plan b, cancel trip, move to another lake, or another week, because of ice conditions?

If so, did you have trouble finding an alternate location?

I did, but I was proactive. Made the decision several weeks ago.

Default moved back a week

Our destination, Wine Lake Camp, officially moved their opening week back to the 24th. We mace a decision several weeks ago to move it back anyway since they had an opening. Our group shrunk from 6 to 2. Five days til we leave (can't count today or the day you are leaving....). We hope we don't get caught in post spawn

Our group pushed our trip a week. We are going up to the Flin Flon area of Manitoba. There currently is still ice on the lakes there, but warm weather day and night for the next 10 days. We arrive at the lodge on May 27.

Default Back to early August

Our group was booked for the opener, and several weeks ago pushed it back to the 2nd full week in August....we enjoy fishing the Opener, though ice is still not out on the Cedar Lake chain....so found another week when we can head north.

Wishing I was sitting in a cabin at Cedar and just hours away from getting my first Ontario walleye of '14, though that ain't happening this week...will be home in Ohio completing yard work and moving 10 yards of mulch....and reminding myself of the famous quote "Happy wife....Happy life"....ha !

I'm at work today, but still plenty of ice on the Goon. Oh well.
