Default WWA Press Release - Ohio Division

LAKE ERIE IS FIRST STOP IN WWA OHIO TEAM CHALLENGE DIVISION

Fond Du Lac – The World Walleye Association kicks off the Ohio Team Challenge division Sunday April 10th on Lake Erie at Catawba, Ohio.
Sign in and the rules meeting will be Sunday April 10th at the Catawba State Park Ramp. Sign in and boat inspection will begin at 6:00A.M. with the mandatory rules meeting at 6:40 A.M.
Boundaries for the tournament will be from the 82.35 line on the East to the 83.08 line on the West. U.S. waters only and Sandusky Bay is off limits.
Registration for the tournament can be done by credit card on the WWA website and any teams signing up for all four events in a division will get 200 bonus points and a discount on the entry fee.
The Priority Deadline Fee has been waived for this event and all WWA events in the month of April.
Entry Deadline is Friday April 8, 2005 at 10:00P.M. No entries will be accepted after the deadline.
The WWA is a friendly, fun, and affordable way to participate in the competitive world of walleye fishing. Extensive media coverage of tournament results can be found on www.worldwalleye.com, www.walleyecentral.com and in the Badger Sportsman Magazine, the official publication of the WWA. Subscriptions to the Badger Sportsmen are included when anglers become members of the WWA.
These are just some of the reasons anglers choose to fish the WWA, “A tournament circuit for fisherman, run by fisherman”.
The World Walleye Association is sponsored by Yarcraft Boats.
For information on entering this tournament, tournament details, or complete information on the World Walleye Association Team Challenge Circuits, please visit the WWA website at www.worldwalleye.com or by calling 920-651-1066

The WWA is a two-man team event. Each fisherman can keep three.

Heard Lash and Joseph won with about 34 pounds. Heard there were only 4 teams too. How much does a 4 team tourney pay anyway?

Thanks Bob.

We would have like to seen a better turnout but you're fishing to bring in the best bag of fish you can-regardless of how many entrants there are, as we would in any other tournament. If you check the WWA site (link below) it already has updates and pictures of all the WWA tourneys to date, including the Erie event.

As far as payout, I believe they pay the top 15% of the field as a rule. With 4 entrants-that meant only paying the top spot.
