Lake traverse?
I have been trying to find youtube videos, and reports on this reservoir. I am coming up pretty empty handed. Can anyone tell me about the spring bite in this lake? Lures, bait, depth, etc?
I see that its a very shallow, and rocky reservoir so I am guessing the fish I pretty much spread out everywhere? |

I grew up fishing on that lake and if you are not familiar with it you can easily leave your lower unit there. Spring I would fish around the Reservation Dam and along the SD side just down from the dam. You can also fish Skunk Island (a pile of rocks in the middle of the main lake about 2' below the surface). Troll with crawler harnesses and casting into the shallows with a yellow mister twister and a minnow.
Good luck. |

It is on my LM chip (Lowrance version). There are large bluegills 10" plus in that lake but they only bit just before dusk. Slimers are all over and you will catch a lot of sheephead on the crawler harness. Silver bass are in there too and can be pretty large but make sure to cut the red layer off of the meat when filleting them out.

I grew up 5 miles from LT and fish quite extensively. If you wish to find out more info give me a call at 320-249-7026.
